A few yeas back we crossed the bridge and started driving west along the south shore of Lake Superior. When we got to the beeches area there was a giant stretch that had ice blocks the size of houses! Getting close, we could peer through some areas, but almost ALL was too treacherous to attempt tp climb over! The best part: how beautiful the ice color was. so so much was almost "clear blue"!!! It was overpowering to take it all in.

Hey Dustin. I am watching this video May 2021 and have a sigma 16mm f1.4 along with a Sony a6400 purchased Feb 2021. I do seem to have good control with the manual focus so I guess the later production models would have been updated prior to leaving the factory. I am seriously considering the Sigma 30mm and it is nice to know these lenses are updatable going forward. I have subscribed to you today. Peter.

I do have a question, did you leave your camera and/or lens outside in the vehicle overnight to allow them to be at ambient temperatures during your shooting? I would think with your surroundings, it seemed cold and a warm camera/lens would have fogged up very quickly.

I had a really bad time trying to take pictures on my a6300 with the sigma lens. I took one picture and then it wouldn’t want to focus anymore.

That is what I am hoping for - sharpness. I am totally for Sigma 16mm f/1.4. Okay, there are astigmatism near the edges, but who cares if the rest of central part is razor blade sharp.

I tried my Sony 18-105 mm f/4 to set to 18 mm and shoot stars. It is terrible choice - close to the edges, there is terrible coma aberration aside chromatic aberration. I hope that Sigma 16mm f/1.4 has no such issue.
